Disney/Pixar Concept Art From Upcoming Films
The Character Design Blog has posted some cool character concept art for some of the upcoming Pixar projects announced a few weeks back, as well as a still “The Princess and the Frog,” Disney’s return to feature-length traditional animation.
Most interesting to me are the designs for Pixar’s “The Bear and the Bow,” a Scottish fantasy from filmmaker/writer Brenda Chapman (“The Prince of Egypt”). The film is not due until Christmas 2011 but here we have our first look at a few of the main characters who will star in Pixar’s first fairy tale.
Speaking of character design, an article in Fortune states that the design for the character Eve in Wall•E was inspired by the look of such Apple products as the iPod. Andrew Stanton, Wall•E’s director, told Fortune. “The more I started describing it, the more I realized I was pretty much describing the Apple playbook for design.”
The EVE-pod joins Wall•E in theaters June 27th.
