‘City of Ember’ Poster & Trailer
Here’s the trailer for 20th Century Fox and Walden Media’s ‘City of Ember,’ starring Bill Murray, Toby Jones, Saoirse Ronan, Tim Robbins, and Martin Landau.
For generations, the people of the City of Ember have flourished in an amazing world of glittering lights. But Ember’s once powerful generator is failing--and the great lamps that illuminate the city are starting to flicker. Now, two teenagers in a race against time, must search Ember for clues that will unlock the ancient mystery of the city’s existence, and help the citizens escape before the lights go out forever.
Okay, so lemme get this straight. Bill Murray won’t go near Ghostbusters 3 (unless it just involves lending his voice to a game) but he has no quams signing on to play “The Mayor of Ember” in a new Walden Media production, a company who has had no luck with any of their pictures besides The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe? (And trust me, Caspian will not be added to their hit list after it lets down audiences this weekend). I just want to make sure I’ve got this right about Bill. Sorry, I get confused sometimes. However, being the optimist that I am, I will choose to still have faith in Murray’s choice and eagerly anticipate this October 10th release, since it happens to be directed by Gil Kenan, who brought us the awesome Monster House.
