Trouble For Hancock

Trouble For Hancock

An article on Cinemablend informs us that Will Smith’s superhero movie Hancock may be headed for reshoots. The movie’s world premiere, which had been scheduled to happen next month in Australia, has been cancelled. Considering that the film opens in six weeks, this does not bode well for the production. Hopefully these reshoots will only make the film better, and not water it down or make it less edgy and more broad as a result of some stupid test audience screening gone wrong.

On July 2nd, A.K.A. “Will Smith Weekend,” we’ll know for sure when Hancock takes flight.

The Joker One Sheet May 16 2008

The publicity machine continues to burn full steam ahead for The Dark Knight. The last few days have seen the introduction of yet another one-sheet featuring The Joker as well as a new TV spot. The new commercial includes some never-before seen moments from the film, due July 18th.

Hey, what is it with The Joker and Indiana Jones? The last time either of them were on the screen was Summer ‘89. Nineteen long years later, they both decide to come back at the same time. Could this mean we have Indy V and a new Joker to look forward to in 2027? Not if George Lucas has his way. He envisions the next installment of the Indiana Jones saga a lot sooner than that! Only problem is, it just might not have a lot of Indy in it. Click HERE and have that smile on your face instantly turn upside down as you enter Lucas’ vision: “I have an idea to make Shia the lead character next time and have Harrison come back like Sean Connery did in the last movie. I can see it working out.”

Cheer up by viewing the large Joker poster after the jump, or an even larger version at ComicBookMovie.com!

Spider-Man 4 & 5 Back To Back?

Spider-Man 4 & 5 Back To Back?

Spidey 4 and 5

A year after the less-than-Amazing Spidey 3 swung into theaters and Sony seems to be looking into the future of our favorite webslinger.

Cinematical reports that James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) has turned in a working draft of Spider-Man 4 to the studio and that “his story arc has encompassed two films, making Spider-Man 5 shootable at the same time. The studio saw dollar signs and is in the process of reworking his deal to snatch up the story arc.”

No word on if Sam, Tobey and Kirsten would return, but it seems highly unlikely as all three have claimed they were done with the saga after part 3 last summer.

Stay tuned…

We’ve seen a lot of cool images for Hellboy II: The Golden Army (including Guillermo Del Toro geeking out with us at Comic-Con), but we must admit that the slick and iconic poster has got them all beat.

Our friends at SuperHeroHype.com have the exclusive first peek at it. Go there and take a look.

The Happening

JoBlo.com has an exclusive red-band trailer for M. Night Shyamalan’s THE HAPPENING. I don’t care what kind of reviews are popping up online, this short mini-trailer owns. I think this film really has the potential to put Shyamalan back on top after his Lady in the Water fiasco.

We’ll all find out on Friday, the 13th of June when The Happening goes up against The Incredible Hulk.
